Sell him to anyone in your league still reading the batting average; buy him if you can.

Thomas has been KC's hottest bat over the past two weeks. The Royals are a legitimate playoff contender, meaning run-scoring opportunities will stay strong through August. Grab him in 10–12 team leagues.

Caglianone's overall line (.253/.333/.429) doesn't tell the story — nine homers and a .773 SLG across a 20-game June run showed off the elite raw power scouts have long projected. The Statcast metrics back him up: xwOBA .359, 90th-plus percentile exit velocity, top barrel rate on the Royals. Only relevant if he slipped off your wire in shallow formats — in 8-10 team leagues, the second-half ceiling here is real.

Thomas has been one of the quieter hot bats in the AL — at least one hit in nine of his last ten games, with legitimate extra-base pop. Owned in just 6% of leagues despite this production. Hits in a decent Royals lineup with a favorable second-half schedule. Low risk, real upside at his current ownership level.

Jensen entered 2026 as Kansas City's catching future and is delivering on that billing — he's been one of the hottest bats on the wire over the past two weeks with a .375 average, .708 slugging, and three home runs in 12 games. The 22-year-old combines legitimate plate patience and raw power in a package that's rare for any catcher, let alone one with this much everyday upside. With Salvador Perez shifting to DH frequently, Jensen gets nearly every day at catcher. At 28% ownership he is a must-add in 14+ team leagues and a strong consideration in any format that values catcher scarcity.

Ragans underwent UCL repair surgery on his left elbow on July 2, with a minimum 12-month recovery timeline. He is expected back around the 2027 All-Star break at the earliest, effectively ending his 2026 season and removing him from trade deadline consideration entirely. No rotation replacement has been announced. The Royals were reportedly packaging Ragans as the centerpiece of multiple potential deals before the injury surfaced.

Jensen's contact rate has improved substantially and the results are showing up — .375 average with power over 12 games for Kansas City's everyday catcher. At 32% owned he is one of the best streaming catchers currently available. Add in 10+ team leagues if you need help at the position.

On an historic June tear with nine home runs for the month and a 1.511 OPS over his last nine games. He's 86% rostered on CBS but may still be available in Yahoo or ESPN leagues — check your wire before Monday games. If he's there in any format, this is an unconditional add.
