2 entriesSinger's two best months of the season came back-to-back in June-July, and the Royals chose not to sell him at the deadline. He's a legitimate two-start streamer in Week 20 and a viable SP3/SP4 add in leagues where ownership has dipped. The underlying peripherals support the ERA.
Singer's return to his bread-and-butter sinker-slider combination — 93% usage over his last three starts — has coincided with 17 strikeouts and two walks in 21 innings. The 2.76 ERA over eight starts is real work; his season-long 5.32 ERA explains the 38% ownership rate, but managers who can look past the ugly first half are sitting on a streaming gem for the stretch run. His Reds rotation slot is locked through September.
