Texas's rotation behind him (Eovaldi, Leiter, Kumar Rocker) has been solid enough that the Rangers' offense converts wins reliably.
Rest-of-season outlook: Top-7 SP. The pitch counts are still being managed (rarely above 95 pitches), but that's by design — the Rangers want him at 28+ starts. If he stays healthy, 200+ K and a sub-3.00 ERA are firmly on the table. The Cy Young race is between deGrom, Skenes, Soriano, Schlittler, and Misiorowski — and deGrom's strikeout rate gives him the edge in any roto-scoring league.
