MLBTradeRumors · Rotowire · MLB.comThe Yankees placed Judge on the 10-day IL on June 5 after an MRI confirmed a stress fracture in his right first rib — an injury that apparently originated from a dive in Houston on April 26 and was played through for over five weeks. The team announced a four-to-six week shutdown before new imaging determines healing, with any return-to-play protocol beginning only after that. The realistic window puts Judge back in uniform in August at the earliest, with September also on the table. Spencer Jones, the club's No. 6 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was recalled from Triple-A to fill the everyday OF spot.
Fantasy take: Hold. Any offer good enough to accept requires the buyer to lowball you at a premium position. If the fracture heals cleanly and imaging at week four shows progress, August is plausible — that's still 6-8 weeks of production in a pennant race. Add Spencer Jones anywhere he's available in 12+ team leagues: he inherits everyday time in the heart of the Yankees' order with both Stanton and Domínguez also sidelined. High-ceiling, high-variance, massive opportunity.
The Twins recalled Lewis from Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, less than three weeks after his May 19 demotion, after he hit .333 with 10 home runs, 22 RBI, and a 1.303 OPS in 60 at-bats across 15 games — one of the most electric short-burst resets in recent memory. Lewis had been hitting .163 with a 31% strikeout rate before going down; he was sent to work on swing mechanics and also added first base and second base reps to expand his positional flexibility. James Outman was DFA'd in the corresponding move. Manager Derek Shelton said Lewis 'deserves to be back because of the way he performed.'
Fantasy take: Buy the reset. Ten home runs in 15 Triple-A games isn't a luck-driven fluke — something mechanically clicked, and he comes back with expanded multi-position eligibility (3B/1B/2B) and manager buy-in. If he dropped below 60% in your league during the demotion, fix it immediately.
The Dodgers moved Glasnow to the 60-day IL on Saturday, formalizing what had been obvious: he hasn't resumed a throwing program since a back spasm shut him down on May 8. Manager Dave Roberts confirmed no throwing has occurred and provided no structural diagnosis. July 6 is the absolute earliest he can return — and realistically, a proper ramp-up from zero throws points to mid-July at best. Nick Frasso was added to the 40-man roster as the Dodgers manage a rotation now missing both Glasnow and Díaz.
Fantasy take: Hold if your league's trade deadline is July 15 or later. Glasnow has thrown 12.1 innings in 2026 and the structural unknowns are concerning, but the ceiling if he returns healthy is still ace-level. Sell only if your deadline is before mid-July and someone is offering fair value — take discount offers and you'll regret it.
The Angels placed Soler on the 10-day IL retroactive to June 4 with a left oblique strain. He had been scratched from Friday's lineup with hip tightness and also exited a Wednesday game early against Colorado. In 58 games, Soler was posting a .220 average with 9 home runs and 33 RBI — productive power despite an unimpressive batting average. No structural damage was announced, which is encouraging. Nolan Schanuel returned from the IL in a corresponding move.
Fantasy take: Hold. Oblique strains are notoriously unpredictable, and a 10-day designation is optimistic — 3-4 weeks is realistic. But Soler's power rate (9 HR on a .220 BA suggests real HR/AB upside when healthy) is worth waiting out a short absence. Stream alternatives at his OF spot if you're in a must-win week; don't drop him.

With Judge out until August and both Stanton and Domínguez still sidelined, Jones inherits extended everyday time in one of baseball's best offensive environments. Ureña has been one of the quietest pitching stories in the AL since May 1 — 2.08 ERA across 39 innings, with a dominant May (1.67 ERA, 23:12 K:BB in 27 innings). He's not a strikeout machine but he's been elite at limiting damage. At 28% ownership he is genuinely underpriced for a pitcher producing at this level. If Lewis fell below 60% in your league during his three-week demotion, fix that immediately. Ten home runs in 15 Triple-A games and a 1.303 OPS are hard to ignore — something clicked — and he returns with manager buy-in and expanded multi-position eligibility (3B/1B/2B). He slots back into the heart of the Minnesota lineup.
🌱 Stash of the Week
Skubal underwent a minimally invasive 'nano-scope' procedure on May 6 to remove a loose body from his elbow — a procedure that typically sidelines pitchers 2-3 months. He's knocking on the door of a rehab assignment less than four weeks later. Manager AJ Hinch confirmed a rehab start with High-A West Michigan is imminent, with the org targeting a late-June return. If Skubal is available at 44% or below in your league, add him now. A healthy two-time Cy Young winner returning in late June is exactly the kind of second-half asset that wins championships.

Stress fracture in the right first rib, traced back to a dive he made in Houston on April 26. Judge played through it for over five weeks before imaging confirmed the fracture. He will be shut down for four to six weeks before new imaging determines healing progress; a return-to-play protocol begins only after that clears. August is the most realistic target, September is in play.
IL-60
Back spasm first emerged May 8 and has not resolved enough for Glasnow to resume a throwing program. The 60-day transfer makes July 6 the absolute earliest he can return, and a ramp-up from zero throws means mid-July is more realistic. No structural diagnosis has been provided publicly. The Dodgers added Nick Frasso (0-0, 4.85 ERA) to the 40-man roster as rotation depth.

Right oblique strain placed Raleigh on the IL May 14. He begins a rehab assignment today (June 7) with High-A Everett as the designated hitter — a structured approach that protects the oblique while keeping his bat active — before transitioning to Triple-A Tacoma on June 9. Projected return: around June 16.

Jacob Misiorowski Is Fantasy Baseball's Best Pitcher Right Now
Jacob Misiorowski has a 1.83 ERA, 100 strikeouts, and only 19 walks across 64 innings pitched. His May line was genuinely historic: 0.29 ERA in 31.1 innings, 49 strikeouts, 11 hits, 1 earned run. The Brewers' 24-year-old right-hander is generating Statcast numbers that look like a video game: 99.7 mph average fastball velocity, 38.7% whiff rate, 39.6% strikeout rate, and 7.5 feet of extension — all at the 98th percentile or above. His slider is an elite-plus offering against right-handed hitters. FanGraphs' auction calculator now ranks Misiorowski as fantasy baseball's top pitcher year-to-date.
The concern — and it is real — is the walk rate. Misiorowski's 10.8% BB% is double digits for the second consecutive season. He's making it work on the strength of historic swing-and-miss stuff, but a single bad inning can snowball quickly when your margin for error is this thin. The Brewers have kept him on a 5-6 inning leash per start, limiting win opportunities while protecting his arm. The Brewers are only the second team since the 1907 Cubs to have two qualified starters both above ERA+ 200 simultaneously — Misiorowski at 250 and Kyle Harrison at 263.
The case for treating Misiorowski as a bonafide SP1 is straightforward: the underlying stuff is 99th-percentile elite, the results match, and there is no evidence of regression coming. The walk rate is manageable as long as the whiff rate stays north of 35%. If your league still has him priced as an SP2 or SP3, that is a market inefficiency you should exploit aggressively.

The VerdictStart every week without hesitation. The walk rate is the asterisk on an otherwise flawless 2026. With a 38.7% whiff rate and elite extension, Misiorowski can absorb control lapses better than almost any pitcher alive. He is fantasy baseball's best pitcher through the first third of the season — price and roster him accordingly.
